Barcelona is foodie heaven, but casually saddling up to the bar at a tapas restaurant isn’t always easy when you’re running with a multitude.
Whether it be a big birthday bash, a holiday dinner or simply a big group of hungry travelers toasting their first night on the town, check out these five great restaurants for an event in Barcelona.
En Ville
En Ville is the perfect answer for a cool-meets-classy event or group meal in Barcelona. Housed in a historic modernist building in the Raval, the space itself is stunning with beautiful natural light and soft creative touches. The kitchen’s Catalan-French fusion will impress from the steak tartar to the mouth-watering scallops. Set menus range from โฌ35 to 45 per person. Furthermore, it truly is one of the perfect restaurants for an event in Barcelona.
Address: Carrer del Doctor Dou, 14Lonja de Tapas
Lonja de Tapas has a few different locations, but their restaurant in the emblematic Pla de Palau is perfect for bigger groups or company events. With a capacity for up to 90-person groups and three different set menus to choose from, it’s no wonder why they book so many events year round. Be sure to reserve in advance, and for smaller groups, check out the Montcada Plaza location, where you can dine on all the same delicious tapas in a beautifully rustic private room.
Address: Pla de Palau, 7Terraza Martinez
Great rices and great views, what more could you ask for? Of course, Barceloneta is where many go to get their paella fix in Barcelona, but try stepping away from the crowds and out to Montjuic with the beautiful Terraza Martinez. It’s a local favorite for everything from the impeccable service to the divine arroz negro. Their immense terrace is great for big groups that want to enjoy the fantastic climate of Barcelona.
Address: Carretera de Miramar, 38Casa Pascual
Casa Pascual is another lovely spot for outdoor dining and events. A bit more centrally located than the last, you will find their charming (and enormous) terrace overlooking Barcelona’s Old Port. The menu focuses on traditional dishes and tapas, and the ambiance, as well as the service, is friendly and casual. Furthermore, it’s one of our favorite restaurants for an event in Barcelona! Not sure what traditional Catalan food looks like? Check out the great little video below to have a sneak peak at what to expect!
Address: Pas de Sota Muralla, 7Palacio de Flamenco
Looking for something a little different? Palacio de Flamenco is an auditorium that does flamenco shows over dinner and can seat up to 450 people in one show. Though flamenco does not find its roots in Barcelona, there are plenty of great artists and shows around the city. Perfect for first-time visitors to Spain, or a group looking for live entertainment with their meal. For more information about flamenco in Barcelona, check out our blog post on where to see a show.
