Be it an anniversary, a birthday or just a long awaited holiday, there’s nothing quite like splashing out on a luxury hotel for your trip abroad.
While it’s possible to sightsee and even eat on a budget in Seville, accommodation will almost certainly be the most expensive part of your trip to the Andalusian capital. And while it’s not every day we go for outright luxury when it comes to our hotel, the quality and glamor of the luxury hotels in Seville means that they are worth every extra penny. Check this list of our favorites and get booking your trip to Seville!

Hotel Alfonso XIII
We can’t talk about luxury in Seville without mentioning the stunning Hotel Alfonso XIII. Built in the lead up to the 1929 Ibero-American Expo held in the city, the building itself is a sight to behold– and that’s before we even begin to discuss the beautiful rooms, ornate courtyards, and stunning dining area inside.
The services available at this hotel include an outdoor swimming pool, a bar and restaurant that is home to one of the best brunch experiences in Seville, and aside from that, its location in the very centre of the city means there are also a number of rooms available that provide beautiful views of the city’s most iconic monuments.
If you happen to find yourself in Seville for New Year’s Eve, Alfonso XIII is home to the most glamorous events in the city where people ring in the new year, dressed in their finery, at a lavish, luxurious reception.

Gran Meliá Colón
The beautiful Gran Meliá Colón Hotel breathes elegance and luxury from the minute you enter the door. Located in the Arenal neighborhood of Seville, this hotel has long been a place for prestigious bull fighters and national and international personalities to stay during their time in Seville.
The innovative design of the building is a real work of art and each floor is dedicated to a different famous artist, such as Murillo, Velázquez or Zurbarán, and the top floor, dedicated to Goya, is home to one of his best-known paintings, ‘The Dresses Maja’. As a member of the ‘Leading Hotels in the World’ group, you really can be assured of top quality service. When it comes to luxury hotels in Seville, the Gran Meliá Colón is one of the best!

EME Cathedral Hotel
Boasting one of the most impressive rooftop terraces in all of Seville, the EME Cathedral Hotel is an amazing place to stay in the city. Located right beside Seville’s Cathedral, the EME Hotel is not the city’s biggest, instead opting for a more intimate, luxurious decoration– perfect for a romantic getaway with your significant other.
With some rooms even featuring unparalleled Cathedral views, you immediately get the sense that you are living a unique, VIP experience at this hotel. And the higher you go, the more striking the views become all the way up to Bar La Terraza, the hotel’s amazing terrace– home to one of the city’s most epic views (and some delicious mixed drinks and cocktails too!).

Hotel Casa 1800
From the minute you step inside the 19th-century building of this boutique hotel, Hotel Casa 1800, and see the intricate, ornate decoration from floor to ceiling, you realize you are living a true luxury hotel experience.
The building was originally a palace in the Santa Cruz neighborhood and there are numerous features of the design, such as the studded wood floors at the entrance that enabled horse and carts to enter, that throwback to its 1864 beginnings. The stunning indoor courtyard at Hotel Casa 1800 ensures you experience a different kind of luxury, the luxury of feeling at home in beautiful surroundings while you travel, and the location couldn’t be better.
Nestled in the old Jewish neighborhood, all major monuments, shopping areas and restaurant hotspots are just a short stroll away, and their terrace even provides views out as far as Plaza de Espana and the beautiful Maria Luisa Park.

Hotel Ateneo
From the free drink on arrival to the stress-free check-out before you leave, Hotel Ateneo is a place that pays attention to every detail of your stay. With the unique Metropol Parasol monument and the vibrant tapas scene of the Alameda neighborhood within walking distance, the location of Hotel Ateneo is just one of many fantastic aspects of your stay there.
Make sure to enjoy some chill out time in the brilliantly furnished common areas, or have a drink at the bar, if you can bring yourself to leave the comfort of your room, that is. Its lavish, manor house style decoration (a number of the rooms with their own fireplace!) and unique and intricate architecture ensure this hotel is worth the extra investment.

Palacio Villapanés
Palacio Villapanés is another example of the exquisite renovation of a traditional Sevillano palace to create a beautiful and unique luxury hotel. Built in the 18th Century, the original Mudejar courtyard, complete with impressive marble columns and arches, remains one of the building’s most striking features and adds greatly to the romantic, luxurious feel of the hotel. Our favorite part of the luxury experience? The amazing spa and rooftop terrace!
Gaze at the starry-lit ceiling of the Wellness Center during your massage before heading up to the terrace to gaze at the actual stars too – the ultimate escape from all stress and worry! As part of the ‘Small Luxury Hotels of the World’ group, relaxation, luxury and excellence are guaranteed at Villapanés!
